Today was a good day. My first solo ride of more than a few miles. The sun was out and the temperature was warm enough to be tolerable. I look forward to getting to ride the scooter in properly warm weather, but I’ll take what I can get.
The destination was Lake Nockamixon state park, a nice lake in eastern PA.
I took a lap of the lake on my 125Z, and I probably saw about 50 other motorcycles over the course of my day.
On the way home, I stopped by the casino just because I felt like riding up to the roof.
This scooter is pretty great, and I’m getting more comfortable on it with each ride I take. If you’re on the fence about getting a scooter or small motorcycle, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Ditto on the recommendation. Motorcycles are a bit intimidating to a lot of folks, but a moped/scooter is about as difficult to handle as a bicycle.
Is that a 125? I’d that’s a 50 it’s pretty cool to have to have roads like that where you can go under 45. (I just scrolled up and saw the paragraph I missed)

I spent all afternoon on my snowmobile. Trails are starting to be ugly, but the foot of snow that’s announced for tomorrow should fix that. And extend the snowmobile season a bit longer.

It's a 1987 Yamaha Riva 125Z. 125cc engine, top speed around 55mph depending on the wind. It's a lot more comfortable around 35-45 though.

Snowmobiling I warm weather can be a lot of fun. Those mid spring t shirt on a sled days are kind of surreal but always fun

Glad you’re having fun on it!
I didn’t have a chance to take either of my bikes out today, spent about 5 hours replacing sway bar end links on the gf’s ‘07 legacy. It’s supposed to be really nice and warm tomorrow though so I’ll probably ride to work.

I thought about checking with you this morning, but I really wanted to go on a long solo ride. Nockamixon is a nice place to ri de to.

Awesome! It hit 62 here today, but didn’t get to ride because I had to finish milling my cabinet door parts before I have to change the setup on my table saw at school to do actual school work.

I really should try and get my bike license so I can get a scoot....would be fun for short trips for work

What is involved in getting your license?

I would be part of the ‘Second Group’ (halfway down the page):

So what are you waiting for? Do you need to provide your own bike for the test?

Well, at the moment with school on, lack of time. The other issue is where to store a scoot if I had one. The shed is literally jam-packed full of crap and, considering I still live at home for the time
being, the basement hallway would not be an allowed choice, lol.
I’m not sure if I would need to provide my own bike for the test. I know that those who take it as p
art of the bike training course are free to use the training school’s bikes, but not sure about those who do not...?

I’m not talking about getting a scoot. I’m talking about getting the license. If there i s a course, and it’s free, and they provide the bikes, go do it now. Even if you aren’t going to immediately buy a scoot. Just take the course for fun. You’ll get to ride a bit, and then when you are ready for a scooter, you’ll be legal to take it on a test drive.
